The programme of instruction includes both discussion and practice on using fire extinguishers and includes colour marking of the appliances to identify the equipment according to suitability to deal with the category of fire involved, method of operation and application to achieve extinction and practical firefighting with volunteers in each session encouraged to handle/use the equipment available.
This course is suitable for employees nominated to undertake the role of the Fire Warden and Fire Marshal, including both proactive and reactive functions. It will ensure that the employer is fulfilling their obligations under the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order for larger buildings by the empowerment of employees.
